What I value most is the sense that FTM isn’t separate from practice. Staying active and engaged with FTM keeps me close to emerging ideas, to ethical tensions, and to the quieter and not-so-visible forms of change that can emerge when we find better language for how people live and practice as relational beings. As a contributor, I’m always invited to stay close to the real conditions of our work: the urgent and demanding questions that show up in supervision, agencies, classrooms, and the relational world. The magazine makes space for thinking that is new, unfinished, and responsive. FTM treats writing as a form of care and consideration for therapists, communities, and the future of our profession.
